If You Want to Build Muscle, You Must Strictly Avoid Plant Fats / Prefer Animal Fats. — Grow Fit Academy Mythbuster: If You Want to Build Muscle, You Must Strictly Avoid Plant Fats / Prefer Animal Fats. Protein source and amino acid profile (especially leucine content) determine muscle growth. The fatty acid profile of the diet does influence cardiovascular health, but with adequate intake of essential fatty acids it does not differ in direct anabolism for muscle tissue. The myth persists because it conflates two things: **protein quality** (relevant for muscle building) and **fatty acid profile** (relevant for cardiovascular health). For muscle building, what matters first and foremost is that you eat enough protein with sufficient leucine and all essential amino acids — the fat source is secondary. More important than "plant vs. animal" is the **overall balance**: calories, protein, training stimulus, and recovery. Both variants provide sufficient essential fatty acids (omega-3/omega-6) and enough protein. What matters is the **amount and distribution of protein** throughout the day (e.g., 3–5 portions of 0.3–0.4 g/kg each). This shows you: the fat source changes, the protein target stays constant — and that is exactly what matters for muscle building. **Ideal:** Hit your protein target daily, choose a variety of fat sources (don't forget omega-3), progressively increase the training stimulus. **Good enough:** One protein source per meal, fat according to appetite, 3–4 training sessions per week. **First step:** Today, switch one meal to a clear protein source and consciously choose the fat source — plant or animal, entirely according to preference. The myth that building muscle necessarily requires animal fats and forbids plant fats is false based on evidence: for muscle growth, what counts is the amino acid profile (especially leucine) and total protein amount, not the fat source. Fatty acid profiles influence cardiovascular health, but not directly muscle anabolism.

Protein source and amino acid profile (especially leucine content) determine muscle growth. The fatty acid profile of the diet does influence cardiovascular…

Training with light weights only builds endurance, not muscle mass. (Mythbuster) — Grow Fit Academy

As long as sets are taken close enough to muscular failure (e.g., in the 20–30 rep range), light weights produce nearly identical muscle hypertrophy as heavy weights, because motor units are fully recruited by the end of the set.

Women get bulky and masculine from heavy strength training. (Mythbuster) — Grow Fit Academy

Due to significantly lower natural testosterone levels, women do not build massive muscle mass to the same extent as men. Heavy strength training primarily leads to improved body composition, bone density, and relative strength gains in women.

Cardio Training on an Empty Stomach Immediately Attacks the Body's Own Muscle Protein.

The body primarily uses free fatty acids and glycogen at moderate intensities. As long as the load is not excessively long (over 60–90 minutes) and the protein intake over the day is correct, moderate fasted cardio does not lead to significant muscle loss.

Postural Deviations Like Hyperlordosis or Rounded Back Are the Cause of Back Pain.

Large imaging and observational studies show no reliable correlation between static postural deviations and the occurrence of pain. Pain is a complex warning signal of the nervous system, influenced more strongly by load management, sleep, stress, and psychosomatic factors.
